It also responds to the European Commission’s proposed legislation to set a minimum objective of 40% by 2020 for members of the under-represented sex for non-executive members of the boards of publicly listed companies in Europe. Europe’s leading business schools have been working with the European Commission and Senior Executive Women to produce a growing list of now more than 8000 Board Ready Women.
Candace Johnson is one of the driving forces behind this initiative and is extraordinary by every possible standard. She is an entrepreneur, a role model for women, a trailblazer in telecommunications, an innovator in the knowledge economy, a corporate leader and a champion of women. She regularly makes the list of the most powerful women in Europe and beyond.
